 Happy Judah's 1st Halloween!

8 Months

The Boards are finally behind us, hopefully for a long time, so now to post some 8 month pictures...

The months continue to fly by, even Judah cannot believe its been 8 Months :)

He sure is a fun and handsome little guy though.

Judah is learning new things at a rapid pace.  And his Pedi mommy, who was re-memorizing lists and lists of developmental milestones, has been watching him like a hawk!

In terms of gross motor milestones. this month he learned to pull to stand!  And once you can stand, what fun is it really to sit anymore? He really enjoys standing up and playing at his little learning/musical table toy.  Judah also learned to climb the 2 steps between the kitchen and the living room; no instruction required, one day he just headed for the steps and figured it out himself!  I realize I am biased, but it was quite impressive.  And finally after almost 2 months of scooting/army crawling, Judah finally started actually crawling.  Oh and how can I forget the gross motor milestone of learning to sit-up from lying down and the wonderful joy it has created in keeping us all from sleeping!

In terms of fine motor skills, Judah has learned to clap and is working on waving "Hi," but really isn't interested in waving "Bye" at all.  We are also starting to work on a pincer grasp.

Judah continues to advance his babbling, adding "dadadada" to the repertoire this month.  Still no "mamama" sounds though :(

In other exciting news, this month Judah went from 2 teeth to 6, adding 4 teeth across the top from left to right, one right after the other, with a new tooth breaking through every 3-8 days!  Needless to say, it has made life a little crazy at times.

I've been meaning to do an 8 mo blog...but just haven't had time to load the pictures, as I have been trying to furiously study for the boards...but as a short distraction, with pictures previously loaded...

this was from his early days of scooting, while not really interested in crawling, because he is so fast and proficient at this, he has now in the past few days started to coordinate arm and leg movements simulating crawling

More Utah

We were fortunate to be able to take another trip to Utah this year...this time in honor of Ayden's 1st Birthday! As a bonus it is during the Fall, my very favorite time of year...in a place where there actually is a Fall.

Utah State Fair

In honor of Judah's 8 Month Birthday and the big upcoming Utes game against our Utah rivals, yesterday we all put on our Red and went to the State Fair!

The outcome of the game seems questionable given the Utes stellar performance last week against the Aggies, but if the Utes lose this one, we'll blame Josh for not cheering loud enough in the MUSS.

7 Months!

Judah is getting so BIG! 

I keep asking him to SLOW down, but he isn't interested.

I somehow neglected to include in the last post, that one of the other milestones Judah has achieved is cutting his first two teeth, which both came within a few days of each other.  If you look closely at bottom two pictures you can see them :) 

In addition, in the past 2.5 weeks, he has become quite the proficient scooter, which further emphasizes for me how fast he is growing and developing.  We are not ready for a baby on the move...nor or Battlecat and Kelsey :)

More 6 Months

Things Judah has learned/enjoys doing at 6 months:

Just beginning to move (scary, as we're not ready!)--Judah likes to turn in circles on his belly to get to what he wants

He is also getting very strong and can push up quite high

Playing with his toes...and putting them in his mouth

Eating solids, which he loves! 

Here eating oatmeal and then banana.

First time getting to sit in a high chair at a restaurant,

now that he has mastered sitting by himself

Continuing to grow in his hair as a mohawk...

and spiking it up to be like Daddy 

 His first soccer ball...which also makes Daddy very happy :)

And finally at school last month Judah got to do something really fun....finger painting on the floor!
